The Studio

The Educational aim of The Studio is to evoke an individual response in students of various temperaments and abilities by offering a variety of tailored courses covering a wide range of media. Students acquire a natural self-confidence resulting in work that is original and purposeful. Emphasis is made on critical thinking as well as progress in skills; encouraging further insights and perceptions of other artists.
A number of students have been assisted to complete portfolios and successfully achieve Art Scholarships as well as desired places on several recognized art courses.
Originally built as a Hackney Carriage Firm, “Two Horse and Cart Taxi Co”, the outbuildings were converted into a large studio with high pitched roofs and North facing light. There is a further detached building used as a Sculpture Studio.
